Most Empowered Companies survey

Awards for SA’s Most Empowered Companies will be handed out at an awards ceremony on 4 October, with the full results published in Business Report the next day.

This project is a joint venture between Independent Media, Empowerdex Research & Advisory and Intellidex. Empowerdex conducts the research for the rankings while Intellidex is producing a tabloid-size publication to be distributed with Business Report. Empowerdex has undertaken this research every year since 2005.

The publication will provide a valuable assessment of empowerment levels at JSE-listed companies, examining various sectors and empowerment factors and analysing topical issues. It will rank the top 100 Most Empowered Companies operating under the Amended Codes of Good Practice, along with rankings for those companies still operating under their own charters which have not yet been aligned to the Codes.

Awards will be issued to:

  • Most Empowered Company under the Amended Codes of Good Practice
  • Most Empowered Company under the Sector Codes not aligned to the Codes of Good Practice
  • Most Empowered Black Ownership under the Amended Codes of Good Practice
  • Most Empowered Management Control under the Amended Codes of Good Practice
